Things worked, but Virtumonde reappeared. I realized that explorer had been removed, so I got a copy back on and ran Windows Update.
When I had a-squared quaranteen suspicious files (c:\windows\system32\nnnliih.dll and 3 processes using it) I got an immediate BSOD->reboot, then no icons or tray when I logged on. Norton 360 just wasn't finding it, so I used other packages - wth disturbing consequences. I have become infected with Virtumonde twice in the past week or so.
